5 large carrots
2 large onions
400 gr (about 1.25 lbs) cubed leg of lamb
100 gr lamb fat (1/2 cup)
Vegetable or lamb broth
1 tsp peppercorns
2 tbsp coriander seeds
2 tbsp cumin seeds
1/2 cup barberries (may substitute dried cherries, cranberries, or raisins)
